The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mount Sinai Hospital is special area that cares for patients that are very ill. The unit is dedicated to responding to the physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs of patients and families.
A waiting room is available for use outside the ICU. Mondays to Fridays, a volunteer is usually available to assist you. There are two quiet rooms for everyone's use. You may wish to rest or have some time alone. We ask that you use the phone in the waiting room and refrain from using cellular phones.
