Meeting Outline

The meeting outline generally followed:

  • Welcome and Introduction of Speaker.
  • Guest Speaker (30 to 45 minute presentation, with questions encouraged during the presentation).
  • Question & Answer Period.
  • Announcements.
  • An opportunity for everyone to briefly introduce themselves to the group (first name, when you had surgery or if you're considering surgery, brief comment on how you're doing or a current concern.
  • Family members and friends are welcome and should also introduce themselves.
  • At 8:30 p.m. break for refreshments and networking (speak with individuals or break into small groups.
